Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated experienced Support Worker to join our supported accommodation service for young people aged 18–25. You will play a vital role in helping young people develop independence, build life skills, and achieve their personal goals in a safe and supportive environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day emotional and practical support to young people.
* Support residents with life skills such as budgeting, cooking, and tenancy management.
* Assist in developing and following support plans tailored to individual needs.
* Promote independence, confidence, and positive well-being.
* Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are followed at all times.
* Liaise with external agencies, colleges, social services, and health professionals.
* Maintain accurate records and reports.
* Prepare Key work reports.
* Participate in shift work, including evenings, and weekends (where required).
Experience
* Previous experience working with young people/children.
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to stay calm under pressure and work independently.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and evenings.
* Relevant qualification in Health & Social Care (desirable, but not essential).
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:
* Harrow HA3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
