Position: Field Service Engineer Location: Southwest Midlands Salary: Competitive, plus overtime Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Benefits: Company car with social use, 23 days holiday (increasing to 28), pension contributions up to 9% Are you a highly skilled Field Service Engineer with experince working on measuring equipment? I am currently working with a globally recognized leader in the manufacturing of specialized measuring equipment. This is a permanent role based in the Southwest Midlands. You will be responsible for the installation, calibration, servicing, and repair of high-precision metrology instruments at customer sites across the midlands. Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular customer site visits to install and maintain precision measuring equipment Perform service and calibration tasks with accuracy Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve faults on electro-mechanical systems Ensure all work complies with quality standards and customer requirements Skills & Experience required: HNC/BTEC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline, or substantial relevant industry experience Proven experience in fault-finding and repairing electro-mechanical systems Strong practical skills in mechanical fitting and installation Basic electrical knowledge, including circuit board replacement and use of testing equipment Excellent communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail Proficient with IT applications relevant to the role Full, valid driving license (company vehicle provided)This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career with a world-leading company in the metrology sector, offering long-term stability and professional growth.
