Are you an experienced financial services leader with a passion for developing people, driving commercial performance, and elevating client outcomes? We’re supporting a rapidly growing IFA in the South East (headquartered out of North Essex) as they appoint a Financial Planning Director to lead their advisory team and shape the next phase of strategic growth.
As a key member of the leadership team, you’ll work closely with the CEO to design and deliver growth strategies, strengthen advisory capability, and embed a performance‑led culture. This role combines strategic influence with hands‑on leadership of a talented group of Financial Planners—ensuring they have the skills, capacity, and support to deliver outstanding client advice.
What You’ll Lead & Deliver
Define, drive, and execute strategic growth initiatives
Lead, coach, and mentor Financial Planners to ensure high performance and exceptional client outcomes
Embed effective performance management frameworks and use data‑driven insights to guide activity
Oversee adviser remuneration structures and incentive schemes
Play a lead role in identifying and assessing potential acquisition opportunities
Shape and deliver adviser meetings, town halls, professional introducer events and client engagement activity
Act as Consumer Duty Champion, ensuring robust implementation and monitoring
Manage and optimise the advice proposition, pricing, client segmentation and adviser capacity
Build and execute lead‑generation initiatives, including campaigns and introducer relationships
Use industry knowledge to identify competitive opportunities and inform ongoing strategic development
What You’ll Bring
Extensive UK financial services experience, ideally across wealth management and financial planning
Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and broader financial products
A proven senior sales leader with the ability to inspire, influence, and create followership
Commercially astute, highly analytical, and confident in using data to drive decisions
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate strategically and tactically
Demonstrated success in coaching, developing and empowering advisers
Ability to build strong external and internal partnerships aligned to long‑term growth
Ideally Level 4 Diploma qualified ; MBA or Master’s degree advantageous
