General
* Overseeall operations within the company Stone TownOffice.
* Order andissue out yearly uniform to all staffmembers.
* Be opento feedback and able to respond in a positive way to correct anynegative feedback that isreceived.
* Bewilling to represent company at any events or meetings whenrequired this includes weekends and publicholidays.
* Assist inensuring the company reputation is at a high level and notifySenior Management should you foresee any issuescoming.
* When theGeneral Manager is on leave be prepared to take on any roles thatare required within Stone Town this includes activities that fallover weekends and publicholidays.
* Assistthe General Manager with any paper work requested from Governmentdepartments.
GroundHandling
* Dailyoverseeing of Groundhandling & ProcurementStaff
* Overlookthe transfer schedules and ensure they arecorrect
* Overlookthe Groundhandling transfer vehicles ensure they are maintained ingood condition always clean and up to date with regards topermits.
* Ensurethe rates sheets for transfers and excursions is always up to dateand submitted to Lodge Support when pricing changes so thatConsultants and Agents can be aware of the pricechanges.
* Ensurethe rates offered remain profitable and competitive within thelocalmarket.
* Overseethe Welcome Desk at the Airport Ensure that it is maintained at ahigh standard and that all guests are always welcomed in a friendlyhospitablemanner.
* Monitorall third party suppliers to ensure that they remain at companystandard.
* Remainvigilant for new and exciting excursions that can be offered toguests.
Finance
* Ensurethe Stone Town Office and Groundhandling Business units arebudgeted for correctly each financialyear.
* Beresponsible for the management of the budgets for the Stone TownOffice andGroundhandling.
* Providefeedback to the Financial Manager on a monthly basis for Managementaccounts for Stone Town Office andGroundhandling.
* Managementof the Office PettyCash.
* Ensureall invoices contain the correct company details as per ZanzibarTaxLaws.
* Assist inmonthly recons of all invoices received for the Stone Town Officeand Groundhandling Team and submit to the Finance team for paymentin a timelymanner.
* Assistthe Lodge Administrator when needed with submitting tax returns atZanzibar RevenueAuthority.
* Maintainthe Monthly Fleets stats for Groundhandlingdepartment.
* Overseeand manage Payroll for the Stone Town office andGroundhandling.
Procurement
* Constantlybe checking suppliers to ensure company is receiving the bestpossible products at the best possiblerates.
* Establisha price list with all suppliers that is constantly updated with newpricing.
* Ensurethe procurement logistics operate at an optimumlevel.
* Overseethe routine maintenance of the Stone Town supply truck ensuringthat it is always road worthy and licenses are up todate.
* Communicateclearly with Mnemba Island if there is any uncertainty regardinggoods that have beenordered.
* DoubleCheck supplier statements with goodsreceived.
* Ensureall goods are packed securely into the Supply truck for safedelivery to MnembaIsland.
* Be ableto investigate and correct any discrepancies that may occur whenthe supply arrives at MnembaIsland.
* Assistwith the efficient importation of goods received coming to MnembaIsland includingArusha.
HumanRelations
* NotifyRegional Human Relations Manager as well as Mnemba IslandManagement of any lawchanges.
* AssistMnemba Island Management with all Human Relations issues that mayneed attention in StoneTown.
* Maintaina strong Team work environment within the Office and Groundhandlingteams.
* Ensurecompany Life programs arefollowed.
