Job Summary

Join our award-winning kitchen team at The Durham Ox, a family-owned pub near Easingwold, just 20 minutes from York. We offer flexible working arrangements, including full-time, part-time, and freelance opportunities, with excellent remuneration pro rata on hours. Duties & Responsibilities

* Assist the Head Chef in running the busy, award-winning kitchen.
* Share responsibilities for kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
* Ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
* Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
* Contribute to the development and evolution of our menu, focusing on local produce.
* Support the team in achieving a work-life balance by working smarter, not harder.

The Durham Ox is a 300-year-old, family-owned pub known for its friendly service, local produce, and extensive range of wines and cask ales.

Our traditional pub features flagstone floors, exposed beams, oak panelling, and roaring fires in winter. Alongside our award winning A la Carte Restaurant (ESTRELLA TOP 50 GASTROPUBS) We offer private dining, event spaces, a wedding venue, cocktail & Sports Bar and overnight accommodation, including eight bedrooms and pool suites and a self-catering cottage.
