Research Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Analyst to join a small, dynamic team with the opportunity to make a difference to a large and exciting organisation. This role will sit within the Strategy and Sustainability directorate to support a range of strategy projects and cross-organisational research. While working closely with colleagues in our environmental and social sustainability teams, this role will report directly to the Group Director - Strategy and Sustainability to support analysis and strategy implementation across the organisation. You’ll build a network of stakeholders to facilitate this work.
This role suits someone comfortable with independently researching internal and external sources to answer complex questions. Curiosity, enthusiasm, and thoroughness are key attributes. We welcome applications from current analysts and recent graduates with a strong research discipline or a background connected to business strategy.
The team is based in Worcester with a flexible work arrangement; we are open to discussing this during the interview.
This is a new role, initially contracted for 12 months, with the possibility of becoming permanent once established.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Research topics that inform strategic insights, including understanding new government legislation, policies, and industry best practices.
2. Review academic research relevant to our strategic goals.
3. Analyze internal Sanctuary data to identify trends and support key projects.
4. Convert research findings into clear, high-quality reports highlighting key points.
5. Maintain a network of key contacts across the organization for information exchange.
Skills and Experience:
1. Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize large volumes of information.
2. Experience managing projects effectively.
3. Excellent attention to detail for accurate data recording and statistical analysis.
4. Ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships at all levels.
5. Good interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
