About The Role
Reporting to the Security Controller, the Deputy Security Controller will implement, update, and maintain security policies, conduct inductions, manage security activities, and promote security culture within the company.
Role Responsibilities
* Support management of security across all sites.
* Focus on protective security; knowledge of personnel and cyber security is essential.
* Assist with audits and visits.
* Maintain security policies and ensure compliance with government legislation (e.g., GovS007, Security Classifications).
* Manage Security Aspects Letters and conduct security inductions and training.
* Perform security risk assessments and report findings.
* Support incident management and investigations.
* Provide security updates to senior leadership.
* Maintain security documentation and hardware advice.
* Collaborate on project security management.
* Assist with vetting enquiries and liaise with IT for compliance.
* Manage security risks and day-to-day activities.
* Other related duties as required.
About You
Essential Skills:
* Experience as FSC Security Controller or similar role.
* Knowledge of government security policies (e.g., GovS007, Security Classification, National Security Act 2023).
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks within legislation.
* Independent and team working skills.
* Experience with risk assessments and process improvements.
* Ability to foster a security culture.
Desirable:
* Completion of DISA or MoD Security Controller training.
* ISO 27001 knowledge (advantageous).
Personal Attributes:
* UK right to work and security clearance eligibility.
* Willingness to travel.
* Autonomous and team-oriented.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Professional and proactive approach.
