Senior Planner – Energy & Infrastructure Projects Location: Flexible UK-wide (office & site-based hybrid options) Salary: £65,000 – £80,000 car allowance benefits Job Type: Permanent | Full-time About the Role We’re recruiting for an experienced Senior Planner to join a leading engineering and construction contractor delivering major energy infrastructure, transmission and distribution projects across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in complex EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) schemes that support the UK’s energy transition and long-term power security. Key Responsibilities As a Senior Planner, you’ll: * Develop and maintain detailed, resource-loaded programmes using Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, TILOS or QSRA. * Analyse project data to communicate work scopes clearly to stakeholders at all levels. * Produce progress reports, dashboards, and visual planning materials. * Contribute to the risk register and undertake programme risk analysis. * Define planning methods, outputs, and sequencing with estimators, engineers, and the wider delivery team. * Support the tender process with detailed schedules, temporary works, and indirect cost assessments. * Attend bid reviews, project handovers, and progress meetings to provide professional planning insight. * Maintain all planning documentation in an organised and auditable format. Skills & Experience Required * Proven experience as a Planner or Senior Planner on major civil engineering or construction projects. * Background in HV Power, Transmission & Distribution, or Energy Infrastructure. * Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, TILOS, or QSRA. * Understanding of planning principles in both tender and delivery stages. * Awareness of commercial and contractual interfaces between planning and project management. * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
