About the Role

* Maintenance of the documented production Quality Management System

* Ensuring effective and timely completion of production process internal audits

* Participate in external audits of the production process including compliance audits to BS EN ISO 9001

* Identify opportunities to improve and assist in developing corrective actions towards continual improvement of the production process

* Run the Quality Assurance laboratory effectively and efficiently

* Manage, lead, train and evaluate competency of staff under your control for their safety, effectiveness and efficiency of operation

* Liaise with relevant central process areas with regards to product integrity

* Provide analysis and reports from internal controls and customer complaints

* Participate in product, production process and raw material developments

* Liaise with suppliers

* Maintain accuracy of raw material stocks

* Supervise the upkeep of the site

* Act as quality representative as prescribed by BS EN ISO 9001

Hours of Work: 7.00am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday

About You

* Previous experience of working as a QA Team Leader or similar

* At least 1 years people management experience with a transformational leadership style to promote teamwork, open communication, can do attitude, and a culture of continuous improvement

* The ability to initiate, manage, evaluate and accept change

* Experience of using a QMS Quality Management System

* Laboratory Testing experience

* Experience of quality policies and procedures

* Ability to manage, maintain and operate quality control systems

* Sound understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation

* ISO 9001 experience

* Encourage Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)

* Take part and support the 5S’s, Kaizen and Visual Management techniques
