About the Job Reporting to the Company Accountants, the Accounts Assistant will support the day-to-day running of the finance department, with a primary focus on Accounts Receivable while also assisting with Accounts Payable, bank reconciliations and general finance administration. Key Responsibilities A ccounts Receivable Manage the sales ledger to ensure client payments are received and correctly allocated Issue sales invoices and credit notes in line with company procedures Follow up on outstanding balances and liaise with clients to resolve payment queries Prepare aged debt reports and assist with credit control processes Accounts Payable Process supplier invoices accurately and within agreed timelines Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies Assist with preparation of payment runs Bank & Finance Support Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate variances Assist with posting journals and maintaining accurate financial records Support month-end processes and provide information to the company accountants as required General Finance Administration Maintain organised and up-to-date financial documentation Assist with ad hoc finance duties to support the wider team Previous Experience Experience in an accounts assistant, accounts receivable or finance administration role Understanding of sales ledger and credit control processes Exposure to accounts payable and bank reconciliations desirable Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Experience using accounting software High level of accuracy with strong organisational and communication skills Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines in a professional office environment For further information on this opportunity or if you are considering the next step in your career get in touch with Ollie Mairs at HireIQ in complete confidence Skills: Accounts Receivable Credit Control Benefits: Work From Home
