We have some exciting opportunities available at Barking and Dagenham College. We are looking for Student Onboarding Assistants Team Leader to join our busy Admissions team, for a contra ct commencing August 2025.
You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £28,941-£30,505 per annum Inclusive of London Weighting
The Student Onboarding Assistants Team Leader role:
To ensure that a high quality customer orientated service is delivered to all customers in relation to course enquiries, application support and conversion, online, by telephone and in person and to ensure information is clear, accurate and impartial.
The post holder will be expected to undertake activities related to the registration and conversion of enquiries into application. The post holder will be required to have excellent customer service skills, be able to communicate with customers of all abilities, including those with low level English, via a range of methods.
Key Responsibilities of our Student Onboarding Assistants Team Leader :
* To lead the Student Onboarding Assistants Team, ensuring an outstanding service-driven approach.
* To respond to and record all inbound enquiries on the designated CRM system.
* Ensure the Student Onboarding Assistants Team administer the College’s policies and procedures in relation to enquiries, admissions and enrolments of learners to the College.
* Support the Head of Department in creating and maintaining all office based systems and processes in relation to enquiry and conversion activities for student recruitment.
* To provide a service that regularly reviewed and underpinned within the Service Level Agreement that are in line with the Matrix Standard.
Our ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills and experience:
* Good general standard of education equivalent GCSE.
* Excellent IT skills in MS Office or equivalent.
* A good working knowledge of providing course information and associated processes within FE.
* Outstanding telephone manner and able to dealwith people of all levels.
* Ability to monitor a large demanding workload, tracking and allocating tasks, compiling reportswhere necessary.
* NVQ customer service level 2 or equivalent is desirable.
* NVQ Information, Advice & Guidance or equivalent is desirable.

You will be required to become familiar with College’s policies and comply with the requirements to safeguard and protect the welfare of children and young people and vulnerable adults.
