We are currently recruiting for a warehouse team leader for our client in South Normanton to oversee daily projects and supervise the day-to-day operations of their team. Working closely with the Logistics Manager, the role focuses on improving warehouse efficiencies and customer service. The position is pivotal, aimed at delivering consistent performance and proactive management of all operational aspects.
Working hours: 9am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Main Responsibilities:
* Ensure full deployment of team members, optimizing resource allocation and efficiencies.
* Manage attendance, performance, productivity, and accuracy, motivating high performance.
* Coordinate and motivate warehouse operations for effective performance.
* Manage shift staffing and labor to meet workload demands.
* Achieve operational KPIs and maintain knowledge of warehouse functions, including inventory control, repairs, returns, and safety procedures.
* Provide induction and training to temporary staff.
* Organize stored stock and maintain storage facilities for efficiency.
* Keep warehouse and yard areas orderly and clean.
* Ensure adherence to company procedures and health & safety standards.
* Assist in warehouse layout planning and team motivation.
* Analyze team performance and identify training needs.
* Participate in field projects and on-site activities as needed.
* Support the warehouse supervisor when required.
Key Attributes:
* Good organizational and time management skills.
* Strong leadership qualities, leading by example.
* NVQ Level 2 in warehouse & distribution or working towards it; NVQ in team leading is advantageous.
* Excellent English and numeracy skills.
* Attention to detail, teamwork, and initiative.
* Knowledge of health and safety issues.
* Flexibility for overtime during busy periods.
Salary: £28,615 per year, plus a £1,000 performance bonus payable in April 2026.
