Summary
As a Community Care Worker, you will be essential in providing compassionate support and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living and home care. Reporting to the Care Coordinator, your role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities through personalized care. Your core skills in care experience, along with premium skills in patient care and dementia care, will be vital in delivering effective support. Responsibilities
* Provide compassionate care and support to clients in various settings, including assisted living and home care environments.
* Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
* Monitor and document clients' health and behavior, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
* Maintain a safe and clean environment while ensuring clients' comfort and dignity.
* Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to foster a supportive care network.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in care settings, particularly with dementia and Alzheimer's patients
* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and their families
* Proficient in patient care and medication administration
* Background in assisted living or nursing home environments
* Ability to perform heavy lifting and meal preparation as needed
* Certification in first aid is a plus
