This is a hands‑on, operational quality engineering role requiring strong supplier engagement, resilience, and the ability to take ownership of complex quality issues in a fast‑paced, high‑volume setting.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Quality Management

* Visit suppliers to develop understanding of product lines and manufacturing processes.
* Support suppliers in meeting quality management system requirements (ISO 9001).

Change & Governance

* Manage change requests impacting components, processes, or suppliers.
* Track and report on concessions, change requests, and non‑conformance status.
* Support Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) activities where required.

Operational Delivery Support

* Collaborate with internal teams including Quality, Engineering, Laboratory, Operations, and Project Management.
* Ensure supplier quality performance supports on‑time delivery to production build lines.
* Participate in critical part reviews and production meetings.

Key Requirements

* Proven experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong understanding and application of ISO 9001:2015 and Quality Management Systems.
* Hands‑on experience with:

o Root cause analysis (RCA), 8D, and continuous improvement
o Managing multiple issues and trackers simultaneously
* Background in manufacturing, engineering, or production environments.
* Strong communication skills across all organisational levels.
* Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑volume production environment.
* Experience in high‑integrity industries (e.g. energy, turbines, aerospace, complex assemblies).
* Familiarity with machining, casting, coatings, or similar processes.
* Knowledge of GD&T and technical drawings.
* SAP or ERP system experience (training can be provided).
* Experience supporting internal manufacturing customers.

Candidate Profile

* Self‑motivated, proactive and able to work autonomously.
* Strong problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.
* Resilient and comfortable working under pressure.
* Able to manage ambiguity and prioritise effectively.
* Strong stakeholder management and supplier relationship skills.
* Hands‑on, operational mindset - not inspection‑focused.
* Long‑term mindset ("perm mentality") with commitment to the role.

Working Pattern

* Initial onboarding period expected to be full‑time on‑site (4‑6 weeks).
* Additional on‑site presence may be required based on delivery needs.
* Flexibility to work from home dependent on proven autonomy and performance.

Key Success Factors

* Ability to quickly understand products, processes, and supplier landscape.
* Effective management of concessions, change requests, and non‑conformances.
* Strong collaboration across a production‑driven organisation.
* Building a robust internal and supplier network.
* Delivering measurable improvements in supplier quality and delivery performance.
