Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. The role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being. Previous experience in senior care, dementia or Alzheimer's care, hospice care, or caregiving is highly desirable. Duties
* Assisting clients with personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
* Supporting with mobility and heavy lifting to ensure safety during transfers and movement
* Preparing nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
* Administering medication in accordance with prescribed instructions
* Engaging clients in social activities and behaviour management to promote mental well-being
* Providing companionship and emotional support to individuals with dementia or other health conditions
* Assisting with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
* Driving clients to appointments or outings as required
* Monitoring health status and reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals
* Supporting children or adults with childcare needs as part of specialised caregiving services
Experience
* Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is preferred
* Knowledge of Alzheimer's, dementia, hospice, or behavioural care is advantageous
* Experience in medication administration and first aid certification is desirable
* Familiarity with patient care protocols and safety procedures within healthcare settings
* Experience in caregiving roles involving senior citizens or individuals with special needs
* Ability to handle physical tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking
* Valid driving licence for transportation duties is a plus
