Experienced Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant
Hames Partnership Anstey Limited are a professional accountancy practice based in Anstey, Leicestershire.
As our practice continues to grow its client base, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant to hit the ground running and join our friendly team.
The Role
The role will have the responsibility of the entire bookkeeping process for a portfolio of clients with the scope to take on more responsibility for the right candidate.
All bookkeeping duties using predominantly QuickBooks, for the preparation of client's accounting records such as:
* Sales and Purchase ledger inputting and maintenance
* Filing and referencing documents in a timely manner
* Agree client balances to supporting documentation
* Bank reconciliations
* Complete and submit VAT returns for allocated clients
* CIS knowledge (ideal but not essential)
* Accounts up to the Trial Balance stage ready to be given to the Accountants.
* Payroll
Office Administration duties such as:
* Setting up new clients on in-house software systems
* Answering telephone calls
* Filing paperwork
* Filing of Confirmation Statements and other Companies House filing - training will be given
Client relations:
* Develop and maintain good client relationships
* Liaise with clients directly to resolves queries or obtain further information
* Ensure a high level of service to meet client expectations
Skills & Qualifications
* Knowledge of QuickBooks software is essential - training will be given to become a QuickBooks Pro-advisor
* Ideally would have experience in a similar role
* AAT Qualified would be advantageous however candidates qualified by experience would be considered
* Payroll processing
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Organised and methodical

* Ability to work on your own initiative
* Efficient time management
* Ability to work to deadlines
