Maintenance Supervisor
Day Role Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm, 40 hours with Call out Rota and Over Time
Incentive Bonus scheme paid every quarter
Based in Middlesbrough
Purpose
The Mechanical Supervisor is a key role within the Maintenance team, supporting the safe operation of Lianhetech’s assets, plant productivity, and reliability. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and oversee all mechanical maintenance tasks across all production plants.
This role is crucial for maintaining site safety standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and supporting Lianhetech's goal to operate as a top-tier CHOMA Site. You will work closely with operations to meet customer quality requirements related to ISO9001, ISO45001, ISO14001, and cGMP, including cross-contamination prevention.
Main Responsibilities
1. Ensure all mechanical maintenance activities are completed safely, timely, and in compliance with regulations, including breakdowns, PMs, compliance work, and defect rectification.
2. Manage the Mechanical Maintenance team daily, including assigning work, reviewing work packs, and ensuring RAMS are adequate.
3. Coordinate with the Planning & Scheduling team and Site Engineers to increase plant reliability.
4. Document and close out work orders within the CMMS system.
5. Handle administrative duties such as timekeeping, holidays, disciplinary matters, and deputies for the Maintenance Manager.
6. Develop job packs, RAMS, and schedules in collaboration with the Maintenance Planner.
7. Participate in root cause analyses (RCAs) and follow-up actions to improve equipment performance and reliability.
8. Lead first-line problem solving for mechanical faults and work delivery issues.
9. Promote a safety culture, ensuring safety guidelines are followed and accidents are reported.
10. Supervise external OEM contractors for compliance inspections and maintenance work.
11. Support projects and changeovers as required.
12. Build effective relationships across departments and with external partners.
Qualifications & Skills
Essential: HNC in Mechanical Engineering/Technician or equivalent, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, minimum 5 years' mechanical experience, proactive attitude, basic Microsoft applications skills.
Desirable: IOSH certification, previous supervisory experience, rotating equipment specialist.
