The Opportunity
We’re searching for a proactive and technically curious Inside Sales / Account Manager to join our client's growing UK sales team. In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for new and existing customers, guiding them through the entire sales cycle—from initial inquiry to final order. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients across various sectors select the right processes and materials for their specific needs, whether for a rapid prototype or a low-volume production run.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow a dedicated portfolio of accounts within target sectors.
* Qualify and respond to inbound requests for quotes (RFQs), providing pricing, lead times, and design for manufacturing (DFM) support.
* Advise customers on the benefits and trade-offs of different manufacturing methods (e.g., SLA vs. SLS, or AM vs. injection moulding).
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with engineers, buyers, and project managers.
* Collaborate with technical and production teams to ensure timely project delivery.
* Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and reactivate lapsed customers.
* Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, tracking activities, quotes, and sales pipeline.
* Achieve monthly KPIs and sales targets.
* Support the external sales team with lead generation and appointment setting as needed.
Candidate Profile
* You have 2+ years of inside sales or account management experience, ideally within a manufacturing, engineering, or technical B2B environment.
* You possess strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* You’re comfortable interpreting CAD files and technical drawings, and you have a basic understanding of engineering terminology (training is provided).
* You are highly organised, detail-oriented, and driven to meet targets.
* You have experience working with CRM tools and digital quoting platforms.
* Knowledge of additive manufacturing, plastics processing, or product development is a strong plus.
