Overview
This is a part-time (0.7 FTE), fixed-term (12 month) post that will focus on delivering excellence in teaching and academic support to students. Preference will be given to applicants with significant experience in clinical cardiac physiology.
Responsibilities
* Lead modules and contribute to teaching, learning and assessment in cardiac physiology.
* Supervise final year research projects and contribute to module and programme development.
* Engage in research and contribute to other programmes across the subject area.
About You / Qualifications
* PhD in a subject relevant to this post or a relevant Master’s qualification with significant professional practice.
* Significant clinical experience in Cardiac Physiology; preference given to applicants with clinical experience in this field.
* Ability to lead and motivate groups, work collegiately, and demonstrate strong organisational skills.
* Commitment to keeping abreast of latest developments and external best practice benchmarks.

The post is based at our lively Frenchay campus with access to modern facilities and resources to support staff and students.
Support and Development
* Mentoring by an experienced senior lecturer.
* Expectation to undertake the PG Certificate in Learning and Teaching in HE unless already obtained.
* Staff development funds to support personal and subject-related training for academic staff.
