Junior Sous Chef – £15.75–£16.25 per hour + tips | Live-in available | 50 hours/week

We're on the lookout for a Sous Chef to join our clients energetic, and tight-knit kitchen team at their busy 16-bedroom hotel and restaurant. This is a 7-day operation serving exceptional fresh, made-from-scratch food, with a strong reputation for consistency, quality, and high-volume service – averaging 900 covers a week.
What We Offer:
* Fantastic hourly rate of pay
* Approx. 50 hours/week
* Tips paid in cash monthly (approx. £1/hour)
* Paid every 2 weeks
* Live-in accommodation available: £40/week for your own bedroom
* Standard holiday entitlement
* Closed 12 days in January
* Open Christmas Day lunch only
The Role:
As our Junior Sous Chef, you'll work closely with the Head Chef and sous chef and a team consisting of:
* 1 Sous Chef
* 1 Full-time CDP
* 1 Part-time CDP
* 1 Breakfast Chef
* 1 Apprentice Chef
We expect strong leadership, the ability to cook consistently under pressure, and a solid work ethic. This is a fast paced kitchen – we need someone who can hit the ground running, stay calm under pressure, and fit into a team where teamwork and communication are key.
Rota & Shifts:
* 1 weekend off every 5 weeks, rotated fairly
* Breakfast shifts shared across the team – chefs are expected to cover when needed (with notice). We are currently training a dedicated Breakfast Chef.
