The Department of Psychiatry is based on the Warneford Hospital site in Oxford – a friendly, welcoming place of work with an international reputation for excellence. The Department has a substantial research programme, with major funding from Medical Research Council (MRC), Wellcome Trust and National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and provides highly rated medical training in psychiatry. The Head of Department is Professor Belinda Lennox. The Facilities Assistants will work as part of a small facilities team in the Department of Psychiatry, providing support for buildings maintenance and repair, security and safety, logistics and room set-up, waste management, and staffing the reception desk. The posts are full time however consideration would be given to candidates wishing to work part-time on a pro-rata basis (minimum 80% FTE). As a member of the facilities team, you will have a wide range of facilities management responsibilities, including maintenance and repairs, AV/room set-up for meeting and conferences, resolving building safety issues and providing reception and front of house cover. Due to the manual and on-site focus of these roles it is not possible to accommodate flexible working requests for remote or hybrid working.
