Purpose ofrole
* Develop and implement technicaldocumentation solutions.
* Provide support to themanagers on technical reviews andcompliance.
* To have working knowledge ofproject management structure technical authoring andtemplate/stylesheet development.
* Responsibilityfor developing technical publications delivery solutions for newand existing customers.
* Work closely withproject managers and project engineers to provide customers with acoherent documentation pack through the life of a project. Createdocuments or complete information on customer templates to enableproject milestones to be met to the requirements of customers DIDS(Data Interface Documents) or CDRLs (Customer Data RequirementsLists).
* Review customer quotation proposalschecking for compliance or deviation. Mark up documents and createbriefing packs for design and engineeringteams.
* Gain an understanding of the productrange and of specialist systems provided to be able to completesupport documentation.
* To produce ILS(Integrated Logistics Support) documentation and have anunderstanding of BOM (builds of material) structures partsbreakdowns and spare partrecommendations.
* Review customer quotationproposals checking for compliance or deviation. Mark up documentsand create briefing packs for design and engineeringteams.
* Gain an understanding of the productrange and of specialist systems provided to be able to completesupport documentation.
* Ensure the monitoringand tracking of customer document submittals including documentsubmission dates and revision history which may be required fordeclaration under Export Controlled Projects. The Military andLarge Projects Manager is responsible for managing the tracking ofthese documents for export controlcompliance.

* Create and maintain projecttrackers and timelines.
* Hit deadlines tomaintain project milestonerequirements.
* Liaising with the customersengineering and document teams.
* Purchasing isto be carried out via liaison with the purchasing department andwith permission from the Military and Large Projects Manager ifrequired.
SkillsExperience andQualifications
* Abilityto manage own projects and workload.
* Ability todemonstrate previous experience of developing implementing anddelivering technical publications.
* Drive andenthusiasm to achieve customer qualitycriteria.
* Good technical problemsolver.
* Ability to work to deadlines and adhereto schedules.
* Ability to work with minimalsupervision.
* Proficient in Microsoft Officeproducts SAP and Autocad
* Understanding orexperience of FMEA and FMECA would be useful but notmandatory.
* High standard of writtenEnglish.
* Excellent communication skills andeffective team player.
* Excellent timemanagement skills.
* Good understanding ofengineering data in a variety of formats from Engineering drawingsto design reports.
* Competence using projecttracking tools and documentation managementtools.
* Have an understanding of BOM structuresparts breakdowns spare part recommendations and Integrated LogisticSupport.
* Marine background / experience wouldbe useful but not mandatory.
* Experience is morerelevant than educationalattainment
