Description
This role has a starting salary of £40,929 per annum, based on a 36-hour working week.
This is a fixed term/secondment opportunity until the end of January 2026.

We have an opportunity for a Social Worker to join our Learning Disability and Autism service and help make a real difference to the local community, ensuring no one is left behind.

About the role
We seek a competent Social Worker to join our Allocations Team, working with individuals with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism to meet their desired outcomes. Responsibilities include completing S9 Care Act Assessments, Reviews, Support plans, S42 Safeguarding Enquiries, and collaborating with professionals, health services, carers, and advocates.
We offer a supportive environment prioritizing training and development. As a Surrey Social Worker, you will work across various projects to ensure our service users have opportunities for independent, healthy, and meaningful lives.
Shortlisting Criteria
* Professional qualification in Social Work and current registration with Social Work England
* Successful completion of an Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) if qualified after June 2012
* Understanding and experience of a strengths-based approach
* Knowledge of current legislation such as The Care Act and The Mental Capacity Act
* Experience of safeguarding enquiries and using professional judgment in complex situations
