Location: Hillbourne Primary School
Contract: 30 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year) 8:30am to 3pm (with 30‑minute lunch break)
Salary: Grade F: £19,855 to £21,538 per annum (actual); full‑time equivalent: £28,598 to £31,022 per annum.

Job Summary
Hillbourne Primary School seeks a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) focussing on SEN to support the internal provision. In this role you will help shape exceptional support for pupils with special educational needs, collaborate closely with the SENCo, coordinate tailored interventions, and work with staff across the school to create a safe, inclusive environment.
Responsibilities
* Support the strategic development and delivery of the school’s SEN provision.
* Coordinate day‑to‑day tailored interventions for pupils with SEN or disabilities.
* Collaborate with staff, including the designated safeguarding lead, to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
Qualifications
* Understanding of SEN policies and practices.
* Experience supporting pupils’ educational and emotional needs.
* Ability to advocate for pupils’ inclusion and access to the curriculum.
* Strong relationship‑building skills.
* Natural multi‑tasker with strong organisational and administrative skills.
* Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.
