The Cresset is looking for a passionateVenue Technicianto join our technical team, working alongside our Technical Manager and wider operations crew.
This is ideal for someone with a keen interest in theatre tech and a basic understanding of stage lighting, sound engineering, stage management, or health & safety practices. If you’re eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, creative environment, we’ll provide the training and support to help you thrive.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Supporting the technical setup, operation, and breakdown of equipment for events and functions.
* Maintaining venue equipment and facilities to ensure everything runs smoothly and safely.
* Liaising with tour managers and event organisers to meet technical requirements.
* Acting as Duty Manager when required, ensuring the safety and security of the building and its users.
* Assisting with building maintenance and emergency procedures.
What We’re Looking For:
* A proactive team player with a genuine interest in technical theatre and live events.
* Some experience or knowledge in one or more of the following: lighting, sound, stage management, or health & safety.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
* A commitment to learning and professional development.

Days and hours: You will be contracted to 30 hours per week, this role will require regular evening and weekend work and flexible working hours.
Salary
The salary for this role is £20,545 per annum (£13.17 per hour)
