Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Psychologist to provide specialist psychological service, assessment and therapy within HMP Woodhill, part of the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust’s Health & Justice Services. The role supports prisoners’ mental health and promotes health and well‑being.
Responsibilities
* Integrate clinical psychology within the wider mental health team.
* Provide a comprehensive specialist clinical psychology service to service users.
* Offer specialist psychological assessment and therapy, and advice to other clinical team members.
* Work autonomously within professional guidelines and the service’s policies and procedures.
* Utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research.
* Provide clinical supervision to other team members when appropriate.
* Contribute to reflective practice and critical thinking on a case‑by‑case basis, including complex case reviews and service improvement.
