Overview
The Department of Social Policy and Intervention is seeking a Research Assistant to join the OUR SPACE research team, led by PI Bridget Steele. The Research Assistant will be responsible for leading an evaluation of programming to reduce sexual violence in higher education institutions.
Responsibilities
* Lead and contribute to research activities such as survey design, rapid and literature reviews, mixed methods data analysis, and content and text analyses of policies and programmes.
* Manage day-to-day administration of the research project, including creation of data collection tools to evaluate policies and interventions to prevent sexual violence in higher education.
* Lead stakeholder management with student, academic, and practitioner partners.
* Support academic writing and maintain record keeping and data management systems.
Qualifications
* Master's degree in a field directly related to evidence-based social intervention and policy evaluation.
* Ability to conduct mixed methods implementation science research at the intersection of gender-based violence and sexual violence.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to draft correspondence and produce well-presented reports of research designs and findings to stakeholders at the University of Oxford.
* Experience with survey design platforms (e.g., JISC online surveys) and excellent data-management practices, especially with highly sensitive data.
* Attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and ability to work well within a research team, manage a varied workload, and meet deadlines.
