Role Overview
The Warehouse role is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, packing, labelling and securing equipment for domestic and international shipment, ensuring all items are handled with care and in compliance with safety and shipping standards.
This role ensures stock accuracy, maintains a safe working environment, to meet productivity and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily warehouse operations, including goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
* Set up new units ready for shipping, which will include tasks such as the download of necessary software, or the input of sensors.
* Carefully pack and secure equipment using appropriate materials (e.g., foam, crates, pallets, straps).
* Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
* Booking of the delivery collections on various courier portals, ensuring the correct weights and measurements are provided.
* Printing of shipping labels and ensuring packages are accurately labelled with shipping information, handling instructions, and documentation.
* Maintain accurate records of packed items and shipping logs.
* Collaborate with logistics teams to meet shipping deadlines.
* Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
* Ensure accurate stock control and maintain inventory management systems.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Keep the packing area clean, organized, and hazard-free.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in packing, shipping, or warehouse operations preferred.
* Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
* Basic understanding of shipping documentation and procedures desirable.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills is essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
* Good communication and problem‑solving abilities.
