Milk Education is working in partnership with a number of forward-thinking schools across Leeds and Wakefield, offering an exciting opportunity for graduates to build a rewarding pathway into teaching or educational support.
⭐ The Role
As a Graduate Classroom Assistant, you’ll have the chance to gain experience across a variety of roles, tailored to your strengths and career goals, including:
1. Cover Supervisor – delivering pre-planned lessons, managing the classroom, and supporting whole-class learning
2. SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) – supporting students with additional learning needs, ensuring they receive the right provision to succeed
3. General Classroom Support – assisting teachers, working with small groups, and helping to create a positive learning environment
This role is perfect for anyone considering a future career in teaching (such as PGCE or Schools Direct) or those wanting to develop their skills in education.
What We’re Looking For
4. A recent graduate (any subject considered)
5. Confident, proactive, and enthusiastic
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
7. A passion for working with young people
8. Adaptability and a willingness to get involved
9. Experience working with children or young people is helpful but not essential
10. A driver is desirable due to travel between partner schools
