Job Description
* Manage fortnightly payroll for a high-volume workforce covered by various awards
* Process monthly salary pay-runs, including liaising with stakeholders for approvals
* Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS, ensuring compliance with EA and contract terms
* Administer statutory obligations such as superannuation, PAYG, payroll tax, and child support
* Handle complex payroll matters (e.g. terminations, redundancies, leave entitlements)
* Monitor the superannuation clearing house and manage leave requests
* Support HR with reporting, award interpretations, onboarding data, and KPI metrics
* Assist with payroll reporting for month-end and EOFY processes
* Contribute to payroll system improvements and HR project support
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Officer should have:
* Strong end-to-end payroll experience
* Demonstrated capability managing award and EBA interpretations
* Experience with Greentree (preferred) or similar integrated payroll systems
* Confidence to step into a busy environment with minimal handover
* Excellent stakeholder communication skills, particularly with HR and finance
