About the Role: In this role, you will provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, working alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to foster a positive learning environment. Your efforts will help pupils manage their emotions, build resilience, and engage fully with the curriculum. Key Responsibilities: Deliver one-to-one and group support to children with SEMH needs. Help pupils develop coping strategies to regulate behaviour and emotions. Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to personalise learning. Support classroom management by promoting positive behaviour. Build trusting relationships that encourage pupil confidence and self-esteem. Maintain records of progress and contribute to meetings about pupil welfare. Job Requirements: Experience working with children with SEMH or related needs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection protocols. Relevant qualifications in education or support work are desirable but not essential.
