Position Summary
As the Engineering Trainer you will be responsible for:
* Designing, planning and delivering engaging technical training programmes for engineering and infrastructure teams.
* Delivering both classroom and practical-based training on tram systems, depot procedures, and maintenance processes.
* Assessing and maintaining the competency of staff using the company's competency management software.
* Working with third-party suppliers and OEMs to develop and enhance training courses.
* Supporting and motivating colleagues through coaching, mentoring and tailored learning plans.
* Helping to foster a positive learning culture within the Engineering department.
* Maintaining your own professional competencies and support continuous improvement initiatives.
About You
You'll be an experienced engineer with a strong technical background and a genuine passion for sharing your knowledge.
You'll be confident communicating complex ideas clearly and effectively, whether in a workshop, classroom, or online environment.
In order to be successful in this role you must have:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering role.
* Proven hands-on electrical engineering experience.
* NVQ Level 3 (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
* Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
* Excellent attention to detail and IT proficiency (Microsoft 365).
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Full UK driving licence.
