We are looking for a Trademark Manager to join the Corporate Marketing team to assist with managing Hexagon’s corporate trademark portfolio while supporting the greater Marketing Compliance program. As the Trademark Manager, you will play a crucial role in protecting and enhancing the value of our brands while mitigating risks and managing costs effectively. Corporate Trademark Manager (f/m/d)

1. Collaborate with research and development, marketing personnel, as well as with intellectual property, legal and senior management to develop and implement the trademark strategy for the Corporation
2. Manage trademark-related processes to meet regulatory, legal and company specific requirements
3. Spearhead the development of a robust trademark and nomenclature policy and complimentary guidelines and governance processes
4. Coordinate streamlining of trademark law firm network and respective services to optimize on communication and cost efficiency.
5. Manage the corporate trademark portfolio tailored to the actual and planned business strategy in a balanced and cost-effective way
6. Manage the corporate trademark database in collaboration with external consultants
7. Engage with stakeholders to audit and ensure that appropriate trademark oversight is in place to protect the assets in their purview
8. Ensure compliance with global trademark laws and regulations
9. First point of contact for all global, general, strategic, and critical issues of trademark management
10. Coordinate the management of the divisional trademark portfolios, including portfolio reviews, and retirement of marks no longer in use
11. Collaborate with stakeholders to establish a clearing house for trademarks
12. Perform trademark searches, analyse and consult the Business in trademark decisions
13. Monitor competing trademark registrations and coordinate actions to deal with third party misuse or misappropriation of the Company’s trademarks
14. Provide support to larger Marketing Compliance Program as needed
15. Support responding to Marketing Compliance incidents and Data Subject Requests
16. Reporting to the Global Marketing Privacy and Compliance Manager
Desired Skills
This is you:
17. Significant professional work experience related to international trademark law / branding or significant experience as a paralegal at a global law firm
18. Experience interacting with key stakeholders to understand requirements and process feedback
19. Comfort identifying, prioritising, and managing tasks and working independently
20. Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of global colleagues and cross-functional teams (i.e., IP department staff, business unit personnel, senior executive and management level clients, external counsel)
21. Ability to work across time zones and to communicate legal issues and risks to non-legal teams
22. Good IT skills – MS Office and Teams, experience with trademark docketing software is a plus
23. General familiarity with global data protection laws and regulations such as GDPR, e-Privacy Directive, and CCPA is preferred
24. Fluent English, additional language skills (German, French, and or Chinese) is a plus
25. Ability to travel internationally
