Retail Store Manager
Salary: £27,336 - £32,067 per annum plus benefits
Location: Bury Shop (Lancashire)
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities
* Guide, inspire and engage a team of paid staff and volunteers, including recruitment, retention and development.
* Take ownership of commercial running of the store: display, merchandising, stock management, maintenance of standards, layout, sales and income.
* Lead by example and deliver excellent customer and supporter service.
* Maximise profit through effective cost control and sales.
* Create relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.
* Organise and run creative fundraising events to achieve targets.
* Maintain compliance with health & safety, safeguarding, security, administration and HR policies.
* Perform varied manual handling and physical activity as required by the role.
Qualifications
* Experience managing and inspiring a diverse team.
* Comfortable working within targets and motivating others to achieve them.
* Ability to multi‑task in a lively environment.
* Working knowledge of excellent customer service.
* Commercial awareness.
* Knowledge of high‑street fashion retail.
* Adaptability in changing situations and ability to work independently.
* Awareness of price, value and worth of items.
* Flexibility to work on a rota basis while balancing personal life.
* Must be eligible to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not offered.
* Any offer subject to a satisfactory basic DBS check.
