Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of our nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position requires a passion for early childhood education and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and children.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities that promote children's development and learning.
* Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
* Support the lead nursery staff in maintaining a clean and organised environment.
* Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
* Help with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, and personal hygiene.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development.
* Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance professional development.
Skills
* Experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
* A nurturing attitude towards childcare, demonstrating patience and empathy.
