Job Title: Legal Secretary (Conveyancing)
We are seeking a dedicated Legal Secretary with experience in conveyancing to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to conveyancers, paralegals, and other legal professionals.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide administrative support to conveyancers, paralegals, and legal team members.
2. Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, transfer deeds, and completion statements.
3. Maintain accurate files and documentation for property transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and leasehold matters.
4. Liaise with clients, estate agents, and third parties to keep all parties informed about transaction statuses.
5. Coordinate contract exchanges and completion dates, ensuring adherence to timelines and proper documentation.
6. Handle correspondence, emails, and phone inquiries related to conveyancing.
7. Manage appointments, meetings, and deadlines to ensure timely completion of tasks.
8. Ensure compliance with legal regulations and office policies regarding conveyancing.
9. Assist with invoicing and billing for clients.

* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, preferably in conveyancing or property law.
* Strong understanding of conveyancing procedures and terminology.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-focused approach.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and data entry.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management software.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Proactive, positive, and approachable attitude, with a willingness to support the team.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple files simultaneously.
