Are you a fun-loving, charismatic, and young at heart piano teacher who loves to make children feel like rockstars? Anthem Music School wants you to join our team of teachers!
This part-time employed role offers holiday pay of 5.6 weeks per year, including 2 weeks paid leave during summer closure, 2 weeks during Christmas, and an additional 1.6 weeks at a flexible time/date.
We provide small group music lessons for both kids and adults and are seeking a creative, passionate piano teacher with a pop/rock focus who can work well with children.
You should be available for:
Saturday from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm in Urmston (M41 9SB), with potential to extend to 9 am - 5 pm
Lessons are scheduled for 48 weeks annually, providing a reliable income. The ideal candidate should be willing to grow their timetable to increase teaching hours.
Our philosophy is that music lessons should be fun and engaging. We seek someone who can plan exciting lessons, incorporate games, and inspire students to become lifelong musicians by making them feel like rockstars.
Main responsibilities include teaching small groups (max 4 students), preparing lessons, providing music, opening and closing the teaching rooms, writing weekly notes, assigning practice homework, and encouraging participation in performances.
The ideal candidate should have a fun yet professional demeanor, excellent attention to detail, and strong organizational skills. Initiative, tenacity, and a positive attitude towards change are valued. A passion for teaching children and adults is essential.
Qualifications include a degree in Music/Music Performance/Music Technology (desirable) and Grade 8 on your instrument (desirable). Prior teaching experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training can be provided.
As a teacher at Anthem Music School, you should be customer service-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, and work well in a team. Confidence in teaching both children and adults in an understandable way is important.
