HGV Technician
Location: Felixstowe
Hours: 40pw 15:30pm – Midnight (Lates)
Salary: £25ph OTE £60,000

As an HGV Technician, you will be based at a newly built depot in Felixstowe, working with modern facilities, advanced diagnostic equipment, and a supportive, professional team. This role offers long-term career development and funded qualifications.
Hours & Pay
40 hours per week, 15:30 to midnight (30-minute break)
Saturdays when required, paid at time and a half
Up to £25.50 per hour
OTE approximately £53,000 per annum

The Role – HGV Technician
As an HGV Technician, your responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing faults and accurately specifying repair solutions
Supporting the production of quotes and works orders
Identifying defects during servicing and planned maintenance
Ensuring accurate time recording and correct labour coding
Completing effective shift handovers, including outstanding repair work
Handing over fully completed jobs for invoicing
This role suits an HGV Technician who takes pride in high standards, accuracy, and efficient workshop processes.
What You Will Bring
Significant experience working as an HGV Technician within the Heavy Goods Vehicle industry
Strong knowledge of VOSA requirements and the MOT testers’ manual
Understanding of Operator Licence laws and regulations
Experience applying Standard Times and working to workshop KPIs
Strong technical and diagnostic knowledge
Requirements
HGV Technician qualification: City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, written and verbal
Strong problem-solving and technical analysis skills
Experience using GDS and Impact systems
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
