Business Development Manager
Affiliated Utilities are a market leading energy management consultancy with a strong pedigree in exceeding customer expectations including energy procurement, tenant re-billing, energy assessment & validation, carbon & green energy.
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic person, with energy/utilities industry experience, to join our team of experienced account managers.
You will have autonomy in your role but be expected to develop new and established customers relationships and maximise revenue streams through selling core services and up-selling our additional revenue streams.
It is a fast-paced environment, where you will thrive on working within a strong peer group and work closely with new business development and operations departments.
The Role
* Canvas for new business utilising omni contact strategies
* Work with email marketing teams
* Guide clients through the buying process and onboard new clients
* Be the custodian of the relationship with a range of existing customers
* Develop and maintain long-term relationships with new accounts
* Identify and generate account growth by the introduction of new services from our portfolio
* Forge relationships with internal stake holders including new business development, operations and Board so we can understand and deliver client demands
* Work with external stake holders to maintain and develop business levels including market advice, guidance and forecasting
* Based at our Salford HQ - may consider hybrid role
The Person
* Previous experience of account management ideally from the energy market
* Strong commercial knowledge
* Excellent written and verbal communications skills
* Confident in speaking with and delivering customer solutions
* Strong people management skills including a consultative and persuasive approach
* Good at listening to client's needs and develop solutions
* Pro-active attitude to work effectively and efficiently under pressure
* Strong numeracy, Excel and bespoke business systems skills,
* Experience of the Energy Industry
