Description Alongside the Director of Enterprise Security, and the Sector Security Managers, the Deputy Security Controller, works closely with fellow staff to provide advice and guidance to project teams. Partnering with key stakeholders, delivers both formal and ad hoc security training and awareness regarding industry best practice. Works closely with internal departments including Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (IT), cybersecurity, Facilities, safety, and others) to ensure that security systems are implemented in accordance with relevant industry best practice, policy and legislation. Key responsibilities and duties: Manages and provides leadership and guidance for Security Guards and Receptionists at the Fleetlands site; Acts as the VAIL Deputy Security Controller, as point of contact for the MoD; Manages access control procedures to ensure compliance with trade requirements for import/export and security; Conducts security vetting of site personnel, contractors, clubs and visitors. Issues access badges for personnel, visitors, and vendors as required, in compliance with stated National, Department security regulations; Manages and issues site passes for personal vehicles, delivery vehicles, or vendors as appropriate; Reviews contracts for List X requirements and assesses current security guidance for to ensure compliance with identified requirements and ensure adherence to designated policies, procedures, and regulations; Support the management of the cryptographic account including inventory control, security, and use of key cards and other cryptography material; Lead incident response efforts and conduct thorough investigations of security breaches, ensuring timely containment, analysis, and remediation; Manages relationships between internal/ external stakeholders, ensuring coordination of all security efforts for uniformed compliance with requirements; Assist UK Site Security Manager to complete site self-assessments in line with corporate requirements Devises and implements processes to ensure a seamless and professional service is delivered. Meets business needs that are flexible to change with requirements; Oversees the training and certification of all Security personnel; Communicates effectively with senior leadership and with junior subordinates to convey critical security related information in a timely and accurate manner; Manages all aspects of an Active Attack Response plan for Fleetlands site in compliance with UK requirements. Assists other sites in UK in ensuring compliance with applicable regulations Ensures all relevant records and logs are updated accurately and regularly and, that all information required is included; Pro-actively implements all relevant administration tasks which may change through time in line with requirements; Pro-actively executes all reasonable, ad-hoc, duties that may arise (as instructed by line manager); Manages and provides guidance for the planning and preparation of on-site visitors. Ensures all visitors are advised of site security and health & safety requirements; Carry out Baseline Personnel Security Standard, Security Clearances and International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) activities, in accordance with applicable National, Department, and Company requirements; Works in line with our organisational values (Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Innovation and Teamwork); Adherence to our Quality Management Systems, Safety Management Systems, Environmental Management Systems and all associated Business Manuals. (e) Professional Qualifications/Education and Training: Able to achieve Security Clearance (SC); (e) Holds a full, manual car driving licence; (e) Competent user of Microsoft Office programmes; (e) Security Vetting Training (Defence Industry Security Association - DISA); (e) Security Controller (DISA); (e) Security Industry Association (SIA); (e) International Traffic in Arms Regulations; (e) Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodian awareness training ISS (MoD); (e) Export Compliance Service representative; (e) CMI Level 3 Diploma in Management, or equivalent qualification.
