Position:
A SEN school in Newcastle is looking for an EYFS TA to support pupils in the EYFS classroom. The school is highly valued in the community and supports children with additional needs by helping create routines and develop their skills for post-academic life.
Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to EYFS students with SEN needs, assisting with academic tasks and promoting positive behaviour management strategies.
* Foster positive relationships with students, promoting self-esteem, confidence, and resilience.
* Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver engaging learning experiences.
* Assist in planning and delivering lessons, adapting materials to meet students' diverse needs.
Requirements:
* A genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional development of vulnerable students.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
* Flexibility, patience, and resilience in managing challenging situations and behaviours.
* Previous experience with children with additional needs is desirable but not necessary.

Pay depends on skills and experience. All pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary role, with potential for permanence later.
