The Opportunity
As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll provide points of contact with professional engineering colleagues and various stakeholders for discipline-related issues during the design lifecycle, contribute to design reviews and ensure coordination and functionality of design.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
Promote effective co-operation across Design and other functional teams.
Assist in effective management of the customer, including liaison and relationship development with existing and new customers, to aid the development of business, resolution of technical and delivery issues, and ensure the customer is fully briefed and informed of progress.
Advise and assist in selecting the correct methods and tools for tasks and provide technical assistance to the allocated team of Designers.
Contribute to the preparation/production of drawings in support of basic, detail, and production design in line with recognised ISO standards and to the required time, cost, and quality requirements.This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based in either our Warrington, Bristol, Leicester or Newbury sites.
You will have the following qualifications & experience
Nuclear experience is not a requirement; we welcome applications from all engineering backgrounds.
Experience in a detailed design environment.
Good knowledge of CAD tools.
Knowledge of General Engineering Drawing Practice.
Demonstrable experience in technical leading of a multi-disciplined design team.It’s great if you also have the following
