Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Stourbridge
Contract: Full Time
Salary: £18,000 - £20,000
Responsibilities
* Provide individual and small group support to pupils with SEND, both in and out of the classroom.
* Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated learning activities tailored to pupils' needs.
* Support pupils with a range of needs, which may include learning difficulties, autism, speech and language challenges, or social, emotional and mental health needs.
* Help to implement personalised education and behaviour support plans.
* Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and independence.
* Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting pupils during break and lunch times where required.
Person Specification
* Experience of working with children with SEND (in school, childcare, or similar settings).
* Patience, empathy, and a positive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
* Relevant qualifications such as Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant.
