About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering meaningful, engaging learning experiences to students with complex needs. You’ll be supported by a strong team of teaching assistants, therapists, and senior leaders who are committed to inclusive education.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
* Teaching secondary‑aged pupils with SLD, PMLD, and Autism
* Supporting and reviewing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
* Creating a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom environment
* Working collaboratively with support staff and external professionals
* Assessing and tracking pupil progress using appropriate methods
* Promoting communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing
* Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and pupil care

To be considered, you must have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience working with SEND pupils (or a strong interest in SLD, PMLD, and Autism)
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* A good understanding of SEND strategies and differentiated teaching
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
