We're excited to announce two fantastic opportunities for Continuous Improvement Managers to join our newly established Continuous Improvement (CI) team at NGED.Reporting directly to the Head of Continuous Improvement, you'll play a key role in driving business-wide improvements, ensuring initiatives progress at pace and deliver lasting, measurable results.As part of our hybrid working approach this role offers a mix of office and home working with travel to NGED sites 2-3 times a week and occasional overnight stays. Our vision is to be at the heart of a clean, fair and affordable energy future and we are doing this in a fast-moving industry with an increasing focus on tackling climate change, exploring new energy sources that are renewable, low carbon, and improve efficiency to meet demand.Main ResponsibilitiesWork across NGED to drive, manage, shape, define and deliver CI initiatives and make sure that continuous improvement initiatives deliver the planned business benefitsEnsure that continuous improvement initiatives are delivered in a consistent and coherent wayBuild capability across NGED in line with the National Grid's Performance Excellence methodologyMeasure and ensure governance of continuous improvement initiatives across the businessSupport creation of a continuous improvement culture across NGED, including sharing continuous improvement initiatives tools and methodologies with business teamsLiaise with other related teams, including Change Management and Transformation, as well as teams within the rest of the businessThe Ideal CandidateA degree or equivalent relevant experienceAdvanced knowledge of continuous improvement approaches e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, System Thinking, and significant experience of deploying continuous improvement into large and diverse organisationsAgile experience would be preferentialAble to identify areas to add value, structure work needed and proactively deliverThe ability to identify complex problems and challenges, analyse the root cause and identify, test and implement appropriate solutions through utilisation of advanced problem solving and lean skillsSignificant experience embedding and sustaining new approaches to the way people workThe ability to optimise and track the benefits of continuous improvement initiativesDrive, enthusiasm and determination, able to drive delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and challenge the businessAdvanced communication skills, facilitation experience and ability to mentor, coach and develop othersOutstanding influencing skills to persuade, motivate and influence teams across NGEDThe ability to build good relationships at all levels across the businessExceptional written and verbal communication skillA valid driving licence.
