The opportunity
Are you passionate about textiles and embroidery? Join London College of Fashion as a Specialist Technician in Embroidery and bring your expertise to the delivery of Learning & Teaching activities. You will have the chance to inspire and guide a diverse student body, from different levels of study, by answering questions and offering insights into the world of textiles and embroidery.
As a specialist in embroidery techniques—both traditional hand, craft techniques and advanced digital methods using machines and Wilcom software—you will assist students in creative problem-solving and contribute to technical workshops, adapting your teaching style to meet individual needs.
You will also collaborate closely with colleagues across the Textiles department, ensuring that our Embroidery Studio is organised and running efficiently. Out of term time, you will help with workshop preparation, asset management, and studio organisation.
