Are you a warm, organised and proactive individual with a passion for supporting children and families? Greatstone Primary School, part of the Lightyear Federation, is looking for a Nursery & School Administrator to join our friendly and dynamic team.
This vital role is the heartbeat of our school office — the first face visitors see and the first voice many of our families hear. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our administrative processes run smoothly, and that our children and their families feel welcomed and supported every day.
What You’ll Do:
1. Be the welcoming first point of contact for parents, carers and visitors.
2. Maintain accurate pupil and nursery records using Arbor, including health plans and census data.
3. Coordinate communications across the school and nursery using Arbor and Class Dojo.
4. Manage content on the school website and Facebook page to ensure it’s current and compliant.
5. Support with admissions, including maintaining waiting lists, issuing correspondence and arranging parent meetings.
6. Help organise school trips, events, clubs and extended care programmes, ensuring safeguarding and parental consent are in place.
7. Provide key administrative support to the Business Director and Leadership Team.
What We’re Looking For:
8. A highly organised and efficient administrator with a friendly and professional manner.
9. Excellent communication and IT skills.
10. Experience with school management systems (e.g. Arbor) is an advantage, but training will be provided.
11. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
12. The ability to prioritise, multitask and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Why Join Greatstone?
Greatstone Primary School is a nurturing, inclusive and forward-thinking school where every member of staff plays a valued role in helping our children thrive. As part of the Lightyear Federation, you’ll also benefit from working with a wider team of professionals across our schools.
