Full-Time School Caretaker - Sittingbourne
Location: Sittingbourne
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time
Pay: £15+ per hour
Academics are currently recruiting for a full-time School Caretaker to join a welcoming and supportive school in Sittingbourne. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Caretaker, Site Assistant, or Facilities Operative seeking a long-term position within a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Opening, locking, and securing the school site
* Carrying out general caretaker duties, including basic maintenance and minor repairs
* Completing routine health & safety checks and site inspections
* Preparing rooms and facilities for school events and activities
* Ensuring the school grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained at all times
* Supporting staff with day-to-day site and facilities tasks
* Liaising with contractors and visitors where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Previous experience as a Caretaker, Site Assistant, Facilities Operative, or within a similar role
* A practical, proactive, and reliable approach to work
* Good knowledge of health & safety procedures
* The ability to work independently and use initiative
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
