We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, helpful, friendly and motivated individual to work as a Therapy Assistant as part of the Critical Care Team team at the James Cook University Hospital.
You will assist the Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in providing high quality treatment and rehabilitation to patients on the critical care units within the hospital.
We are looking for an applicant with a keen interest in acute care and rehabilitation, preferably with some experience of working within healthcare and on acute ward areas. Continued professional development will be actively encouraged as part of this role.
This post provides an excellent opportunity for someone either taking their first step into a Band 3 role or someone who is already established. The team is friendly and welcoming and warmly supports colleagues.
Main duties of the job
You will work within a multidisciplinary team providing assessment, rehabilitation and support to patients in the critical care units at James Cook University Hospital.
We have a comprehensive In-Service Training Programme and staff are encouraged and supported in their continuous professional development.
You will be supported by senior physiotherapists and occupational therapists and have regular supervision sessions and appraisals.

Experience

9. Experience of working in a Health or social care environment

Qualifications
Essential criteria
12. 3 A-levels OR Health and Science T-level OR equivalent level 3 qualification(s) and Functional Skills (level 2)
13. Or As a level 3 apprenticeship, such as the Senior Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship (or other level 3 qualification pathway) AND/OR Short courses and completion of competency workbook equivalent to Level 3 in a range of patient and clinical care duties
14. AND/OR Equivalent knowledge and experience in a range of clinical care duties equivalent to Level 3; - Theoretical knowledge - Experience of a range of care and related procedures - clinical observations - knowledge of relevant legislation
