Our Third Party Administration (TPA) department is a dynamic team managing a diverse portfolio of clients. They are instrumental in delivering market-leading services on Defined Benefits (DB), Defined Contribution (DC), and CARE pension schemes.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pensions Administrator to join our Client Services team in Glasgow, on a part-time or full-time basis.
What will your role look like?
You will provide high-quality administration services, assist members with complex pension issues, and support the development of less experienced team members.
Key responsibilities include:
* Maintaining and updating member records accurately.
* Processing member events such as retirements, deaths, early leavers, transfers in/out, and providing illustrative quotations.
* Serving as a technical reference point for non-standard cases.
* Escalating complex queries to the Team Leader and technical support.
* Delivering consistent, efficient service in line with service level agreements.
* Collaborating with the Principal Administrator and Team Leader to improve operational efficiency.
* Managing scheme events annually and periodically.
* Coaching and mentoring less experienced administrators to build their confidence and skills.
What skills and experience are we looking for?
* Previous experience in pension administration, working with DB, DC, and CARE schemes.
* Strong commercial awareness of the UK pensions market, including current legislation and best practices.
* Experience with pension administration systems such as UPM or similar.
* Customer service experience, with effective communication over the phone.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and organize workload effectively.
* Exceptional communication skills, clear and concise in interactions with clients, members, and colleagues.
* Teamwork skills and leadership qualities, including mentoring junior staff.
Ideally, candidates will hold a professional qualification like Associate Membership of the Pension Management Institute or be working towards it. However, relevant industry experience demonstrating UK pensions market knowledge is also valued.
